|Greetings! Suddenly, spring arrived and became summer before we could thaw out and get our newsletter published! For our new season, we have brought in lots of new work by many artists including Cornbread, Mary Proctor, Leonard Jones, OL Samuels, Dorethey Gorham, and Kurt Zimmerman.|
Our New Season of Exhibitions
|May 24 – June 24 “Ancestral Threads”: Paintings and sculpture by outstanding African-American artists including Missionary Mary Proctor, OL Samuels, Buddy Snipes, and Mama Johnson. June 28 – July 22 “Kindred Spirits,” Recent paintings by Sarah Rakes, and Cher Shaffer, wall constructions and free-standing sculpture by Amy Lansburg. July 26 – August 26 “Yonder Days” Memory paintings of the Southern Appalachians by Amy Payne and Southern Folk Pottery by Caroline Simmons, Roger Corn, Vicki Miller, and other well-known potters.

Aug 30 – Sept. 23 “Do Not Disturb,” intriguing keyhole cut-out paintings by Jay Schuette.
Sept. 27 – Oct. 28 “Purvis Young Retrospective; A Collector’s Dream” Over 40 Paintings from the 1970’s thru the 2000’s. Not to be missed!
