K.G. McIntosh began creating sculptures after moving to NE Georgia from Florida in 1976.
Having worked as a carpenter, he brought a great deal of experience and skill to carving in wood. Today he is focused on what he calls “capfish.” First, he carves, then he paints and adds metal fins. He then embellishes with hundreds of flattened bottle caps and can tabs. As K.G. says, “The fish scales come from friends far and wide who collect them for me but the carving and painting of these fish come from my soul.”
