First Larry Smith was diagnosed with MS and then in 1989, while working in the construction business in Smithville, GA he lost his left hand in an accident. To feel that he still had a purpose in life, Larry began to make beautiful birdhouses as gifts for his family and friends. Out of adversity, a new venture began for him.
Larry is a history buff and has a particular love of American historical buildings. His birdhouses are architectural replicas of these structures. Though it is important to him to reflect the past, he is also making his houses to last into the future. He uses only the finest wood in order to preserve his birdhouses outside in any weather.
Larry guarantees his birdhouses. He says as long as he is alive, he will repair any damage that may occur to one of his creations.
