Rob and Beth Mangum, from Mangum Pottery Studio, near Asheville, NC, strive to find the union between heritage and contemporary design. Their creative process is guided by the clay itself, through years of studying the nature of the materials. The Mangums continue a creative tradition started by Rob’s parents over thirty years ago.
All of the work in their gallery was made in the studio by Rob and Beth and their production assistants Erin Janow, Laura Keyes, and Rob and Beth’s daughter, Leah Mangum. Wheel thrown items are all made by Beth and Erin. Other items are slab built and individually crafted by Rob, Leah, and Laura. All of the mixed media furniture, art, and instrument pieces are hand built by Rob. Glazing and firing are done by all in both electric and natural gas kilns.
Note: There is no additional charge for shipping/handling inside the continental U.S., except where noted on individual pieces of artwork. Tax is charged to Georgia buyers only.
