Wendy Slaton was born in New Jersey but spent her childhood and early adult life in Dallas, Texas.
As a child, Wendy delved into art beginning with poster paint and crayons then later graduated to oil paints and pastels. Oil paints enthrall her with their vibrant colors, and pastels entice her with the bold marks they produce. Over the years her work has concentrated increasingly on domestic interiors with pets, and sometimes their 2-legged friends; all embodied in what her architect husband calls “Wendy Perspective”. Wendy is grateful for her many friends who have opened their homes to her over the years and inspired so many of her works. She is particularly fond of furniture that ‘walks and talks”!
Currently, Wendy teaches art at Young Harris College in Georgia.
