Sarah Rakes
Self-taught artist Sarah Rakes was born July 20, 1955 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
When Sarah was eight years old, she was exposed to art for the first time when the Nelson Rockefeller Artmobile visited her school in rural Arkansas. From that point on, she knew she wanted to be an artist. Now residing in the North Georgia mountains, Rakes is inspired by nature and her rural surroundings. She combines images of plants and animals with intricate patterns and intense colors. Adding her own painted frame has become an integral part of the work.
Sarah is represented by galleries throughout the United States. Her work is included in many private and corporate collections.
Note: There is no additional charge for shipping/handling inside the continental U.S., except where noted on individual pieces of artwork. Tax is charged to Georgia buyers only.
