Frankie Scarborough

Frankie Scarborough folk Artist, photoFrankie Scarborough was born February 9, 1959 in Modesto, California. Frankie was the youngest in a large family. At age two and one half, he experienced a traumaic brain injury in which he lost the use of his left hand and was blinded in one eye. With permanent mental disabilities as well, Frankie attended a local school for for children with special needs. In 1968, he enrolled in the Alan Short Center in Stockton, CA. There he began making paintings and sculpture and realized his artistic talent. Frankie has a warm and loving personality, and can find subjects for his art in his everyday surroundings, no matter how mundane. With a keen sense of color and an innate design ability, the joy he experiences creating is evident in his work.

Frankie has exhibited his art in a number of group and solo exhibitions.
