Vicki Miller

Vicki Miller PotteryVicki Miller was born in Augusta, GA in 1956 and was raised on a farm near Statesboro, GA. She currently lives in North Carolina where mountain tops and pastures surround her studio and she can hear water tumbling from two nearby streams. She turns pots every day in this tranquil atmosphere and loves every minute of it.

Vicki is a self-taught potter.  She has experimented with many finishes but is best known for her vibrant red glaze.  For many years Vicki has concentrated on building precisely shaped vases ranging from 6 to 12 inches tall.  She turns her pottery on a wheel and throws a wide variety of shapes; some with handles, and some without.  Currently, she is working with new glazes that are food safe and she is developing a line of tableware.

Vicki hopes her pottery can be a bridge between friends and family and strangers or a functional piece that is used every day.  Her pottery is made with a lot of positive thoughts and love, which she feels is passed on with every pot after it leaves her hands.
